“Separately, AI and IoT are already incredibly impactful technologies that are changing how entire industries operate. However, it is the convergence of these truly transformative technologies that will drive the greatest disruption in business and society in the future. It will be fascinating to see how enterprises evolve and flourish using the knowledge gained here.”
Josh Builta, Research Director, IoT, at Omdia and guest speaker
Supported by industry greats, including Verizon, IBM Watson, and Cloudera, there will be various activities, including eleven stages with a carefully curated program, a tour of the Texas Innovation Center, the co-located Quantum Computing Summit, and Austin After Hours – a series of networking events at local venues.
“The momentum we have seen in this industry has been incredible, and this is set to accelerate. Our stage will provide real opportunities and solutions for businesses to get involved, and we are delighted to be taking part.”
Chair of the Quantum Computing Summit Sam Lucero
Omdia’s annual ICT Enterprise Insights (ICTEI) survey suggests more IoT projects are moving forward. In 2021, over 44% of respondents stated that their IoT project is now in an ‘Active stage’, meaning a full deployment is in place and operational. This is a noticeable increase from a similar survey conducted by Omdia in late 2020, in which 35% of respondents stated their IoT project had reached this level of maturity.
Businesses are at a critical point in advancing their IoT technology. Whilst many organizations have an IoT strategy in place, the Summit is a great opportunity to learn more from industry insiders.
